Carpocrates (eerste helft tweede eeuw) was een christelijk en gnostisch leraar in Alexandrië. Hij was gehuwd met een dame met de naam Alexandria die afkomstig was van het eiland Kefalonia. Zij hadden een zoon, Epiphanes, die al op jeugdige leeftijd filosofische verhandelingen schreef.
