Wilson Bentley

Wilson Alwyn Bentley (Jericho, 7 febbraio 1865 – Jericho, 23 dicembre 1931) è stato un fotografo statunitense. È stato tra i primi a dedicarsi alla fotografia dei cristalli di ghiaccio che costituiscono il fiocco di neve. Il suo metodo per catturare la neve era molto semplice: consisteva nel farla posare su un vassoio ricoperto di velluto e di posizionare i cristalli sul vetrino del microscopio usando un sottile strumento metallico.
