Plautus

Tito Maccio Plauto (in latino Titus Maccius Plautus o Titus Maccus Plautus; Sarsina, tra il 255 e il 250 a.C. – Roma, 184 a.C.) è stato un commediografo romano. Plauto fu uno dei più prolifici e importanti autori della letteratura latina e l'autore teatrale che più influenzò il teatro occidentale. Fu esponente del genere teatrale della palliata, ideato dall'innovatore della letteratura latina Livio Andronico.
