Pierre-Ambroise-François Choderlos de Laclos (/pjɛʁ ɑ̃ˈbʁwaz fʁɑ̃ˈswa ʃɔdɛʁˈlo də laˈklo/; Amiens, 18 ottobre 1741 – Taranto, 5 settembre 1803) è stato uno scrittore, generale e inventore francese. La sua carriera militare iniziò nel 1760, quando si arruolò nella Scuola Reale d'Artiglieria di La Fère. Fu nominato sottotenente nel 1760, tenente nel 1761, capitano nel 1771 e maresciallo nel 1792.
