Pieter Snayers (Anversa, 1592 – Bruxelles, 1666/1667) è stato un pittore barocco fiammingo, conosciuto principalmente per le sue rappresentazioni di scene di battaglie storiche. Studiò sotto il maestro Sebastian Vrancx prima di entrare a far parte della Corporazione di San Luca di Anversa nel 1612. Nel 1628 Snayers divenne cittadino di Bruxelles; nella città belga lavorò in principio per l'Arciduchessa Isabella d'Asburgo, e fu successivamente pittore di corte per il Cardinale-Infante Ferdinando d'Asburgo e l'Arciduca Leopoldo Guglielmo d'Austria.
