Michael Chertoff (Elizabeth, 28 novembre 1953) è un politico e avvocato statunitense, Segretario della sicurezza interna degli Stati Uniti d'America dal 2005 al 2009. Precedentemente ha anche ricoperto gli incarichi di procuratore degli Stati Uniti d'America per il Distretto del New Jersey dal 1990 al 1994, assistente del Procuratore Generale per la Divisione Criminale dal 2001 al 2003 e Giudice della Corte d’Appello degli Stati Uniti d'America per il Terzo Circuito dal 2003 al 2005. Successivamente, Chertoff ha lavorato come consulente senior nello studio legale Covington & Burling di Washington D.C e, inoltre, ha fondato nel 2009 il Chertoff Group, una società di consulenza sulla sicurezza.
