Matthew Wayne Shepard (Casper, 1º dicembre 1976 – Fort Collins, 12 ottobre 1998) è stato uno studente statunitense diventato tristemente noto per essere stato derubato e brutalmente massacrato da due giovani suoi coetanei in una località campestre vicino a Laramie, Wyoming, la notte tra il 6 ottobre e il 7 ottobre 1998.
