Jaco Pastorius, pseudonimo di John Francis Anthony Pastorius III (Norristown, 1º dicembre 1951 – Fort Lauderdale, 21 settembre 1987), è stato un bassista, compositore e produttore discografico statunitense di jazz, fusion e funk, annoverato tra i più grandi bassisti di tutti i tempi e tra le figure simbolo del genere fusion. Suonava generalmente un basso elettrico fretless, ma sul palco aveva anche un basso con tasti.
