George Washington
George Washington ([ˈwɔʃʃinton]; talvolta italianizzato in Giorgio Washington; Bridges Creek, 22 febbraio 1732 – Mount Vernon, 14 dicembre 1799) è stato un politico e generale statunitense. Fu comandante in capo dell'Esercito continentale durante tutta la guerra d'indipendenza americana (1775-1783) e divenne in seguito il primo presidente degli Stati Uniti d'America (1789-1797).
