Aaron Burr (Newark, 6 febbraio 1756 – Staten Island, 14 settembre 1836) è stato un politico e banchiere statunitense, membro del Partito Democratico-Repubblicano. Nel corso della sua carriera politica ricoprì sia la carica di deputato dello stato di New York sia di senatore, prima di essere eletto vicepresidente degli Stati Uniti d'America sotto la presidenza di Thomas Jefferson dal 1801 al 1805. Dapprima membro del partito federalista, Burr passò nel 1791, grazie all'influenza esercitata dall'allora governatore dello Stato di New York George Clinton, al Partito Democratico-Repubblicano.
