Ni Tuocheng, dit Watchman Nee, né le 4 novembre 1903 à Shantou (汕頭 ; pinyin : Shàntóu), dans la province de Guangdong, et décédé le 30 mai 1972 en Chine dans le Anwhei (Anhui), est un évangéliste et écrivain chrétien méthodiste chinois. Durant les trente années que dura son ministère, il parcourut une grande partie de la Chine pour annoncer l'Évangile, fondant un peu partout des Églises locales, indépendantes des missions étrangères, connues en Occident sous le nom d'églises du « Petit troupeau ». Watchman Nee publia également une abondante littérature pour l’évangélisation, l’édification des chrétiens et la formation des pasteurs ; certains livres, tirés de ses conférences, sont toujours édités dans de nombreuses langues et rencontrent le même succès dans les milieux chrétiens évangéliques. À l’arrivée des communistes au pouvoir en Chine, les chrétiens furent sévèrement persécutés et Watchmann Nee fut arrêté en 1952. En savoir plus sur Wikipédia
