Taksin le Grand (thaï สมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช ) (17 avril 1734 – 6 avril 1782), est un roi du Siam, qui régna à Thonburi (Ouest de Bangkok) après la destruction du royaume d'Ayutthaya par les Birmans en 1767. Seul roi de Thonburi, il fut renversé et exécuté en 1782 par un de ses généraux (fondateur de la nouvelle dynastie Chakri sous le nom de Rama Ier). Il est considéré comme un des plus grands souverains siamois, pour ses prouesses militaires et sa capacité à réunifier le pays en seulement quinze ans.
