Pascal Lissouba est un homme d'État congolais né le 15 novembre 1931 à Tsinguidi dans le département du Niari (Afrique-Équatoriale française) et mort le 24 août 2020 à Perpignan (France). Agronome de formation, il a été Premier ministre de 1963 à 1966. Élu démocratiquement président de la république en août 1992, une guerre civile l’oppose à Denis Sassou-Nguesso au cours des derniers mois de son mandat. Défait par son adversaire après l'entrée des forces angolaises dans le conflit congolais, il doit quitter le pouvoir le 15 octobre 1997, et part en exil à Paris en 2004, avant de décéder à Perpignan.
