Nerva, né sous le nom de Marcus Cocceius Nerva le 8 novembre 30 à Narni et mort le 27 janvier 98 à Rome, est empereur romain du 18 septembre 96 jusqu'à sa mort. À sa mort, il porte le nom de Imperator Nerva Cæsar Augustus Germanicus. Nerva devient empereur à l'âge avancé de 65 ans, après une vie passée au service de l'Empire sous Néron et les empereurs de la dynastie flavienne.
