Fidel Castro ([fidɛl kastʁo]; en espagnol : [fiˈðel ˈkastɾo] ) ou Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz, né le 13 août 1926 à Birán (dans la province de Holguín) et mort le 25 novembre 2016 à La Havane, est un révolutionnaire et homme d'État cubain d'extrême gauche. Il dirige la république de Cuba, pendant 49 ans, comme Premier ministre de 1959 à 1976 et ensuite comme président du Conseil d'État et président du Conseil des ministres de 1976 à 2008.
