Hageo (en hebreo: חַגַּי, Ḥaggay o «Hag-i») Ageo ( /ˈhæɡ aɪ/; חַגַּי – Ḥaggay; tdl. ‘El que celebra’; Griego koine: Ἀγγαῖος; Aggaeus) fue uno de los doce profetas hebreos menores, profeta activo durante la construcción del Segundo Templo en Jerusalén y el autor del libro de Hageo. Su nombre significa fiesta, solemnidad. Posee dos rasgos distintivos: la precisión con que se datan los oráculos dentro del propio texto y la claridad directa de su mensaje. Es también conocido por su profecía en el año 520 a. C., en la que ordenaba a los judíos reconstruir el Templo. Fue el primero de los tres profetas postexílicos del exilio neobabilónico de la Casa de Judá, junto con Zacarías su contemporáneo, y Malaquías, que vivió unos cien años más tarde), que pertenecieron al período de la historia judía que comenzó tras el regreso del cautiverio en Babilonia.
