Amykos
En la mitología griega, Ámico, hijo de Poseidón y de la ninfa Melia, era el rey de los bebricios, pueblo tracio de la Bitinia. Fue famoso en su tiempo por su gran fuerza y su destreza en la lucha a cesto. Afición que heredó su hijo Butes (no debe confundirse con Butes padre de Erix). Se cuenta que era un gigante que atacaba a los extranjeros que llegaban a su ciudad, razón por la cual los argonautas tras su expedición y vuelta de Cícico acabaron desembarcando a instancias de Ámico en Bitinia; de modo que estos, se vieron obligados a aceptar el reto de tener que luchar contra él.
