Max Ernst (* 2. April 1891 in Brühl (Rheinland); † 1. April 1976 in Paris, Frankreich), eigentlich Maximilian Maria Ernst, war ein bedeutender Maler, Grafiker und Bildhauer deutscher Herkunft, dem 1948 die amerikanische und 1958 die französische Staatsbürgerschaft verliehen wurde.
