يَعْقُوب هو يعقوب بن إسحاق بن إبراهيم أحد الأنبياء المذكورين في التوراة والقرآن، وبحسب بعض الروايات والآيات القرآنية فإن يعقوب كان على دين جده إبراهيم وكذلك كان أبناءه من بعده، ذكرت الروايات التاريخية أنه ولد وعاش فترة من الزمن في أرض كنعان، ومن ثم ارتحل إلى أرض حرّان وتزوّج هناك من ابنتي خاله، كان له كذلك جاريتان، وبعد مّدة من الزمن عاد هو وأولاده ومن بقي من زوجاته إلى أرض كنعان، ارتحل في آخر حياته إلى مصر، عاش هناك حتى وفاته، وكانت وصيّته أن يُدفن عند والده إسحاق وجدّه إبراهيم في أرض كنعان. اقرأ المزيد على ويكيبيديا
