Timóteo is a Brazilian municipality located in the interior of the state of Minas Gerais, in the Southeast Region of Brazil. Situated in the Vale do Rio Doce, it is part of the Vale do Aço Metropolitan Region and lies approximately 200 kilometres (120 mi) east of the state capital, Belo Horizonte.
