1. Leon Štukelj (1898 - 1999)

With an HPI of 63.40, Leon Štukelj is the most famous Slovene Gymnast.  His biography has been translated into 28 different languages on wikipedia.

Leon Štukelj (; 12 November 1898 – 8 November 1999) was a Slovene professional gymnast. He was an Olympic gold medalist and athlete who represented Yugoslavia at the Olympics. He is a noted figure in Slovenian sporting history. Štukelj is one of the first Slovene athletes to have risen to the very top of his sport, where he remained right from the World Championships in Ljubljana in 1922 all the way to the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, at which point he finished his competitive gymnastics career. Štukelj competed at seven major international competitions and won a total of twenty medals: eight gold, six silver, and six bronze. At the Olympic Games alone he won six medals: two gold medals (counted for Yugoslavia) in Paris in 1924, one gold medal and two bronze in Amsterdam in 1928 and a silver medal in Berlin in 1936.

2. Miroslav Cerar (b. 1939)

With an HPI of 60.23, Miroslav Cerar is the 2nd most famous Slovene Gymnast.  His biography has been translated into 24 different languages.

Miroslav Cerar (Slovene pronunciation: [ˈmíːrɔslaw ˈtsɛ̀ːrar]; born 28 October 1939) is a Yugoslav former gymnast and lawyer of Slovene ethnicity who won the pommel horse event at the 1964 and 1968 Summer Olympics. He is also a four-time World champion and a ten-time European champion. Domestically, Cerar won 13 national all-around titles and was chosen eight times as Yugoslavia's Athlete of the Year. He was awarded the Silver Olympic Order by the International Olympic Committee. He is a co-founder of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia and a member of the executive committee of the European Fair Play Movement.

3. Margit Korondi (1932 - 2022)

With an HPI of 57.51, Margit Korondi is the 3rd most famous Slovene Gymnast.  Her biography has been translated into 20 different languages.

Margit Korondi (24 June 1932 – 6 March 2022) was a Hungarian gymnast. She competed at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, where she received a gold medal in uneven bars, a silver medal in team all-around, and four bronze medals. At the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, she received a gold medal in team portable apparatus and a silver medal in team all-around.

4. Josip Primožič (1900 - 1985)

With an HPI of 57.11, Josip Primožič is the 4th most famous Slovene Gymnast.  His biography has been translated into 19 different languages.

Josip "Jože" Primožič (7 February 1900, in Ljubljana – 18 August 1985, in Maribor) was a Yugoslavian gymnast of Slovene ethnicity. He took part in three Olympic Games and three World Championships for Yugoslavia. This gave him a total of 10 medals, two silvers at the 1926 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, four golds and a bronze at the 1930 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, a bronze at the 1938 World Championships, as well as a silver and a bronze at the 1928 Olympics in Amsterdam. At the 1924 Olympics, he won no medals, but Yugoslavia came in fourth in the team competition. In 1928, he also did well individually, and came in fifth in the individual overall competition. This came after many good placings in individual events; silver in the parallel bars, fourth on the flour, and sixth on the horizontal bars. There were also no medals in his last Olympics in 1936, and his best placing was sixth in the team event.

5. Sašo Bertoncelj (b. 1984)

With an HPI of 21.17, Sašo Bertoncelj is the 5th most famous Slovene Gymnast.  His biography has been translated into 6 different languages.

Sašo Bertoncelj (Slovene pronunciation: [ˈsáːʃɔ bɛrˈtóːnt͡sɛl]; born 16 July 1984) is a Slovenian former artistic gymnast. He was primarily a pommel horse specialist and is the 2015 European Games champion on that apparatus. He is also a three-time European Championships medalist on the pommel horse.
