Calistrat Ilie Cuțov (10 October 1948 – c. 19 March 2025) was a Romanian boxer who won the European lightweight title in 1969 and an Olympic bronze medal in 1968. He also competed in the light-welterweight division at the 1972 and 1976 Olympics, but was eliminated before reaching the semifinals. He retired after winning a bronze medal at the 1977 European Championships, with a record of 11 losses out of 398 bouts. From 1981 onwards, he worked as a boxing coach. His trainees include Daniel Dumitrescu.

Ion Alexe (born 25 July 1946) is a retired heavyweight boxer from Romania. He competed at the 1968 and 1972 Olympics and won a silver medal in 1972, losing to Teófilo Stevenson by walkover after he was medically disqualified to contest the final. Alexe won the European title in 1969 and placed third in 1973. Domestically he won six Romanian heavyweight titles.

Mircea Fulger (born 26 January 1959) is a retired light-welterweight boxer from Romania who won a bronze medal at the 1984 Olympics. He also won two national senior titles. Fulger retired in December 1984 to become a boxing coach and international referee.

Leonard Dorin Doroftei (Romanian pronunciation: [le.oˈnard dorofˈtej] , also known as Leonard Dorin; born 10 April 1970) is a Romanian former boxer, the WBA Lightweight World Champion from 5 January 2002 to 24 October 2003.

Daniel Dumitrescu (born 23 September 1968) is a retired Romanian boxer who won silver medals at the 1988 Summer Olympics and 1989 European Amateur Boxing Championships. In 1989 he fled from Romania to Greece and then to Germany, where he stayed for one year. He also participated in the 1992 Summer Olympics. In 1993 he turned professional and retired in 1997 with a record of five victories and two losses. In 2009, he was arrested in Rome for stealing wallets.

Zoltan Lunka (born 22 May 1970 in Miercurea Nirajului, Romania) is a professional boxer, who won a Flyweight bronze medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics for Germany. A year earlier, at the 1995 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Berlin, he captured the world title.

Lucian Bute (born February 28, 1980) is a Romanian-Canadian former professional boxer who competed from 2003 to 2017. He held the IBF super-middleweight title from 2007 to 2012.

Adrian Diaconu (born 9 June 1978) is a Romanian former professional boxer who competed from 2001 to 2011, and held the WBC light-heavyweight title from 2008 to 2009. As an amateur he won a silver medal in the middleweight division at the 1999 World Championships and bronze in the light-middleweight division at the 1997 World Championships. Diaconu was born in Ploieşti, Romania, but fought out of Montreal, Quebec, Canada for almost his entire professional career.
